Sampling of Consistency and Accuracy Data of MyDx Canna Devices

EXPERIMENT 1 – Consistency and Accuracy Across Multiple Devices

  1. One strain of Cannabis Flower (Girl Scout Cookies) was purchased from a local dispensary in San Diego.
  2. 500 mg of the same sample was provided to our local testing lab for analysis via Gas Chromatography.
  3. Approximately 50 mg of flower sample was ground against the rim of a MyDx Sample Insert and filled to the Brim.
  4. Step 3 was repeated 10 times with 10 Sample Inserts.
  5. The MyDx Software was used to measure 10 Samples across 10 Different Devices and Sensors
  6. The MyDx Total Canna Profile Signatures generated were processed via our signal processing and algorithm software.

Target Accuracy: 80% or more
Target Variance: 20% or less
Less Variance = More Consistency

*Relative Accuracy: Please note our data will only be as accurate as the reference database, which is currently based on the accuracy of our lab testing partners.

*Please note this test is a representative sample of just one strain and how it performed using the MyDx system. We have run hundreds of strains and thousands of runs using a similar procedure. In many cases, but not all cases, we see similar results.

In conclusion, we generally see relatively good accuracy and consistency numbers for THC as well as other chemicals we are reporting, especially in the most common range of profiles where our strain reference database is strong (between 15%-24% for THC). We need more efforts to improve our CBD accuracy in particular which is currently not reliable, as well as to capture samples in the extremely high or extremely low THC ranges. We are currently reporting up to 3 cannabinoids and 20+ terpenes.

EXPERIMENT 2 – Consistency Across a Single Device

  1. One strain named Hell’s OG was purchased from a local dispensary in San Diego.
  2. Approximately 50 mg of flower sample was ground against the rim of a MyDx Sample Insert and filled to the Brim.
  3. Step 3 was repeated 10 times with 10 Sample Inserts.
  4. The MyDx Software was used to measure 10 Samples across 1 Single Device and Sensor
  5. The MyDx Total Canna Profile Signatures generated were processed via our signal processing and algorithm software.

RESULTS

Screen Shot 2016-06-30 at 2.06.45 AMAverage THC = 19.56
Standard Deviation = 0.75
Variance = 3.83%

As one can see, within the same device, the consistency is dramatically increased, with an average variance from sample to sample within 4%.

The MyDx feeling prediction engine was also fairly consistent, with the minor exception of a few samples.

Not shown in the above view is the remaining 20+ chemicals detected.  You may access and export your full data runs by visiting www.mydxprofile.com and entering your username and password.
